The Third Project Meeting in Spain: Latvian Team

At school students acquire a lot of knowledge, which is very important for their future life.

However, there are skills which are also very essential – to get along with fellow students, to adapt to a new situation, to learn from peers, to expand one’s horizons.

Such projects, like Earsmus+ project Flipped Learning with ICT, are very helpful in this respect.

The 3rd project meeting was held in Seville, Spain. Four students-representitives from each partner-country participated. Students were accompanied and advised by their teachers.

One of the aims of the meeting was  promoting students’ cultural awareness, clarifying cultural identities, and challenging preconceptions. Culture is a really many-sided topic. So, the programme was very rich and a lot of preparations were involved.

Students demonstrated the video about their country culture and traditions and got acquainted with other countries culture, including history, traditions, holidays, food and folk dance.

Workshop “Overcome the prejudice” was organized by Spanish team.
Later, students worked in international groups to structure and summarize the information.
At the end of the meeting each groups presented the result of their work.

Spanish team have done a great job to prepare everything and to organize guided tours and cultural visits. As this part of the country and Seville itself has really rich and diverse history.

And, of course, warmth and hospitality of Spanish team and host- families made the project meeting an unforgettable experience for both students and teachers.
